Originally planned to use the golden ration for the parts of the handle, but scrapped the idea while turning it on the lathe. It wasn't very aesthetically pleasing

{ BLUE R TAP HANDLE }

I love beer culture and woodworking, so a tap handle seemed an appropriate blend of the two. I created a fictional beer named "Blue R" for this tap handle, inspired by the iconic cursive R of Rainier Beer. To further juxtapose the Rainier Beer's cursive letters, I designed the Blue R in accordance to the golden ratio.

The wood part of the handle is supposed to represent the curves of a capital R. Originally, I was going to make this conform to the golden ration as well, but aesthetically it was odd looking. Also, it would have been a very tall tap handle.

There is no beer associated with this tap handle as of yet. If I were to brew a beer I imagine a stout or porter would work nicely.
